Sensing the Subtle & Navigating in a complex Landscape
Starting slow and subtle, opening awareness for specific anatomical details in our bodies, feeling how to move from there with a new easiness. Then we'll use these possibilities to navigate: moving near, over, under, around, along our partners.
This way of using my body helps to find new pathways and solutions. It can let the CI-acrobatic tricks fall into place with a surprisingly easiness. With all of this, we will also improvise and dance-play with the material.
In each class Sebas will focus on different aspects of this Sensing and Navigating.
Expect some research, new sensations and nice dancing !
In this class we will explore how to be land-able when flying in a lift, so my lifting partner can always put me down safely. As a kind of politeness for the under-dancer, and as a readiness for anything to follow.
Teacher Bio
"I love the playfulness of CI, and I keep searching for ways to stay inspired in dancing and teaching. A healthy way to keep the playing child inside of me alive."
For almost 30 years Sebas has been dancing CI, and over 20 years teaching CI and Creative Dance. He is also a physiotherapist and uses that knowledge of the moving and learning body in his teaching.
He wants to inspire you to you to find your personal poetic expression in your dance. And to experience the joy of an integrated body moving. He uses images from nature or art and lets you experience anatomic details in your own body.
