Freedom & Choice
Our body is unique - Every second and every moment there are many processes going on in our body. Our body is constantly adapting to ever-changing conditions in an ever-changing space.
Our body is constantly reorganising the maintenance of body position and the organisation of movement. There is a constant process of finding and losing balance in our body. Even if we do not think about it, all these processes occur in our body and consciousness automatically.
These same processes take place between us in dance, in the physical contact between our bodies. We can give more attention to these natural processes. Every moment we have many opportunities. Every moment we have a choice and that means we are free. How choice and freedom can become tools for improvisation. How can these tools help us to be free, to play and improvise in contact.
In this intensive we will not look at the political aspects of freedom and choice. We will focus on physical processes and principles of motion and interactions between bodies, but we cannot stop our imagination and thought processes.
